Tier 1 Classes

Tier 2 Classes

FBI Offers 4 types of classes:
Tier 1 Classes - for intermediate to advanced students - foundation building classes aimed at taking players to the next level by correcting stroke errors and instilling a sound understanding of the fundamental concepts of billiards. Corrections of even very minor stroke or mechanics defects will have a significant impact on improving your play and as such all non-beginning FBI students are required to take Class 1 before proceeding to any other topics. Tier 1 classes build upon one another and students must complete each class before moving on. Beginning students will work through a mechanics and general instruction workshop prior to advancing to the core classes.
Tier 2 Classes - for advanced students - classes built around specific skills that are used less frequently than skills focused on in Tier 1 classes. Tier 2 classes may be taken in any order however all students are required to take Class 1 from the Tier 1 series prior to any other FBI instruction.
Open Sessions - for all student levels - Open sessions allow students to address issues currently creating problems in their game (i.e. I seem to be missing rail shots or long shots etc). FBI maintains a large repository of written instruction to provide takeaways for almost any open session topic.
Remote Instruction - for intermediate to advanced students - provides valuable instruction for students not able to attend in person. Students send in a recorded videos (following FBI guidelines) and an instructor studies the submission then records a video response with a detailed analysis. More information is available on the [ Remote ] page.
Written materials are included for all structured classes and many open open session topics. It is critical that students have written material to review after each class or session. A great deal of information is lost without proper review. Students are encouraged to take no more than 1 class or open session per week in order to allow proper time for review and practice. Tier 1 Class 1 and beginning mechanics classes may require additional time between sessions to allow students to develop the skills taught in those classes.
